Contact Fatigue Behavior Evolution of 18CrNiMo7-6 Gear Steel Based on Surface Integrity

In this work, the surface integrity (surface morphology, microstructure, microhardness, residual stress) of contact fatigue (CF) samples with different numbers running cycles was comprehensively studied. Based on typical working conditions, a life evaluation method proposed based evolution law integrity. The CF revealed that average grain size decreased increase in number cycles, and stress roughness Ra increased first then decreased. addition, relationships between parameters were plotted. Moreover, profiles, state remaining gear can be evaluated.
